December's feature show in the Wetherbee Planetarium traces the history and development of many of the world's most endearing holiday customs, all of which involve lighting up the winter season — from the burning Yule log, sparkling Christmas tree lights and candles in windows, to the lighting of luminaries in the American Southwest and the traditional ritual of the Hanukkah Menorah. Selfies with Santa is just what you need to get you in the Christmas spirit! Santa will be visiting Thronateeska on Friday, December 4, from 4-6 pm and wants to hear what you have on your wish list! Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies courtesy of The Bread House and visit the annual Santa Claus exhibit as you wait to snap a selfie with St. Nick!
